Solar eclipse to bring dimmed light between 1-3 p.m. Monday

A partial solar eclipse is expected in the Twin Cities metro area from 1-3 p.m. on Monday, April 8. An uncommon midday darkness will be experienced during this time as the sun is blocked by the moon.

Safety first: As always, safety remains our highest priority at school. Experts agree, the sun should not be looked at without proper eye protection during the eclipse. Outdoor activities are being limited for our youngest learners as a result. Other students will hear about the safety precautions if they’re scheduled to go outside or have outdoor learning activities planned for the event.

Please connect with your student’s afternoon teachers with any questions or concerns.
